Vacancy: Accountant
The purpose of the Accountant role is responsible for tasks related to month and quarter end close for the region, Key responsibilities include:
--Preparing and posting journal entries on to the organisations system (XERO) his includes prepayment, accruals, provisions, salaries, Captain's payments etc
--Issuing purchase orders for local suppliers and credit notes for local corporate customers as well as allocating the receivables to the right invoice and customer
-Preparing and sending out statement of account for corporate customers
--Manage petty cash requests and reconciling the petty cash to receipts received
--Maintain all financial documents and records such as licenses and agreements
-Providing financial support to the local GM and central finance team
--Ensuring all bank related transactions are uploaded into Oracle and posted on a daily basis
--Preparing the bank reconciliation on a weekly basis after booking all ---payments and receipts
--Preparing and initiating payments to all local suppliers, limo companies, and Captain's. This include bank transfers, cash, and cheque payments
--Preparing all bank related documents such as amendment requests if there are any rejected bank transfers and recall requests
--Maintain and update the payroll master file on a continual basis to ensure accuracy on monthly basis
--Coordinate with HR to ensure the correctness of the file and capture all the movements (joiners and leavers) before payroll cut-off
--Ensure that bonuses and other employee expenses are paid along with salaries in a timely manner

--Educated to BS/MS level (or equivalent) within a subject relevant to the --position such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
Oracle user and preferably CMA holder
